Junior Club Competition Winners February 2022

George Camera Club Kim Roberts dandelion seeds

Kim Roberts from George Camera Club is our February winner!

Kim, congratulations on your winning image – Dandelion Seeds

Kim says:
I had a mirror with some water coloured blue with food coloring on it.

I put the dandelion seeds on and dropped on some blue water drops from a dropper.

I used my 100 mm Canon macro lens at f8, 1/100 sec, ISO 100.

It was outside on the patio on a cloudy day so the light was nice and diffused. I tried many things, like other backgrounds to reflect in the mirror, but ended up with this one which I think was just the sky. This was the one I liked the best.

Our 1st runner-up is Alida Heine from Tygerberg Photographic Society with “Swan Lake”

Our 2nd runner-up is Adele Smit from Ermelo Fotoklub with “Om die draai”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?

This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image.  The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.

For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com

Instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault can be downloaded here  doc

Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
