BACKGROUND
The 4-Nations competition is a friendly event between the members of four great International Photographic Societies – PSNZ (Photographic Society of New Zealand), CAPA (Canadian Association of Photographic Art), APS (Australian Photographic Society) and PSSA.
The competition this year was organised by the Photographic Society of New Zealand and judged by a panel of judges from Wales – Harold Grenville FRPS, Hywell Harris FRPS BA(Hons), Brian Gaylor FRPS, MPhil. Our congratulations go to Australia who were the overall winners in this fiercely contested competition. They also won three of the four sections – Open, Monochrome & Our Country. CAPA were the winners of the nature section. We were second overall and second in each category excepting for Our Country where we only took third place.
Thank you to all who entered and congratulations to those whose images were selected for the PSSA team – remember they do count as a salon acceptance. The PSSA entry can be viewed below and the Audio Visual will be shown at Congress in St Lucia.
The best image in the nature category was one of ours – congratulations to Dewald Tromp for Afternoon Snack.
Melanie Loubser also did us proud with her image African Skimmer which received an Honourable Mention.
In the Open section Dyan Ford’s Drip was a worthy winner of an Honourable Mention – well done the three of you!
