The 41st FIAP Youth Digital Biennial 2023 was organised and presented by NSFF(Norsk Selskap for Fotograf )and BP (Bekkalokket Photoclub) of Norway.
The competition had 2 categories:
Category 1: for youth members up to the age of 16 years, and
Category 2: for youth members up to the age of 21.
Each national association member of FIAP was allowed to enter 20 digital images in each of the categories with a maximum of 2 entries per author. The jury members consisted of a panel from Greece, Sweden, and Denmark
The Youth Division of PSSA entered 20 images into both categories from 14 authors for category 1 and 14 authors for category 2.
We are extremely excited to report that South Africa was placed 3rd (out of 14 countries) in category 1 and 2nd (out of 17 countries) in category 2.
With this achievement, PSSA received a FIAP Gold Medal and a FIAP Silver Medal.

Furthermore, South Africa also achieved an award for an image in Category 1. This outstanding achievement is from Martin Walters (Constantia Park Laerskool) with his image titled “Utensil art”. He was awarded a FIAP Silver Medal for this achievement.
South Africa also achieved an award for an image in Category 2. This outstanding achievement is from Charl Conradie (Hoërskool Charlie Hofmeyr) with his image titled “Deadtree”. He was awarded a NSFF Honourable Mention for this achievement.
