Senior Club Competition Winners March 2024

Rodney Cory from Springs Photographic Club is our March winner!

Rodney, congratulations on your winning image – Into the Venice Night

Rodney says:-

On a recent trip to Venice with Kim Stevens, I was amazed by the fantastic photographic opportunities that Venice presents.

On one of our walks we came across this beautiful bridge “ Ponte De La Bande” in the Castello District in Venice and just had to photograph it, one of our group members offered to model for us creating this fantastic image.

The conversion to mono really worked in the instance creating a very moody scene.

Canon – R5 With a 16 to 35 lens
Settings were ISO 100, Speed 30 Sec, F7,1 on a tripod

Our 1st runner-up is Francois Roux from Vanderbijlpark Fotografiese Vereniging with “Trio bome en duin”

Our 2nd runner-up is Henri Oppel from Hibiscus Coast Photographic Club with “Stop eyeballing me”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?

This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Senior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Web site for the duration of the month.

For the Senior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the Senior club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
