Pitts Patel from Springs Photographic Club is our August winner!
Pitts, congratulations on your winning image – Bunny meal
Pitts says:
On a recent trip to the Greater Kruger, I witnessed a dramatic encounter between a leopard and a scrub hare which left me with mixed emotions.
The leopard, known for its stealth and agility, was observed meticulously stalking its prey through the dense vegetation of the reserve during our afternoon game drive. Leopards are solitary predators, and their hunting technique often involves a patient and calculated approach.
On this occasion the leopard used its keen sense to track the hare, moving with silent precision. The hare, unaware of the looming danger, was grazing or perhaps searching for food when the leopard made its move. In a burst of speed the leopard pounced, the attack was swift and decisive.
This scene highlights the raw and unfiltered reality of the natural world.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Senior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Web site for the duration of the month.
For the Senior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the Senior club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
