Carole Hibbert from Highway Camera Club is our November winner!

Carole, congratulations on your winning image – Into the light

Carole says:

I was invited to join camera club friends, Bridgid and Bev, to take some images of Bridgid’s niece who was prepared to model for us.
I settled on natural light as my trigger wasn’t synced with Bridgid’s lights and finally achieved this image using a prime 50mm Canon lens on the Canon- EOS 5D Mark IV.
My settings were a little slow, but I was hesitant to push the ISO (1/60 sec, f3.5, ISO 400)

Our 1st Runner-up is Meleney Naik from Maritzburg Camera Club with “Bound by Bureaucracy”

Our 2nd Runner-up is Jacques le Grange from Harties Fotografie Studiegroep with “Spidey”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?

This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Senior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Web site for the duration of the month.

For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the Junior club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
