Anje Smith from Rustenburg Photographic Society is our July winner!
Anje, congratulations on your winning image – The Past
Anje says
This image was taken on a farm just outside Rustenburg during May 2021. The model’s name is Rudy Vorster. There was a whole lot of preparation and thought put into this shoot. It was a dream working with him, as he is able to easily switch between different emotions and therefore we could reach the outcome of what was in mind. He is a very kind hearted person.
My camera settings were:
Nikon D750
Nikkor 24 – 100 @ 100mm
ISO 800
Shutter speed 1/320s
F8
Our 1st runner-up is Chris Botes from Pretoria Photographic Society with “Focused”

Our 2nd runner-up is Sandy Reinders from Hibiscus Coast Photographic Society with “A Soul Mate”

Thank you to the judges:
Laetitia Kenny – Boksburg Camera Club
Melanie Loubser – AFO Fotografieklub
Nico Strydom – Centurion and F-Stop Camera Clubs

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault can be downloaded here
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
