Congratulations to Johan Van Rensburg from Brandpuntfotoklub!
He is our January winner with the image “Violin Reflection”
Johan wrote:
“The photo was taken beside our swimmingpool, using a programmable light-stick to create the background. My daughter posed with her violin in a evening dress.
The photo was a 4.3sec exposure at f/10 on ISO 100 with the 18-55mm kit lens on my Nikon D5500.
In post processing I did some colour adjustments to enhanced the black versus blue effect and also some retouching on the reflection.”
.
Our 1st runner-up is Kazalette Pike from Westville Camera Club with ” Sunset Leopard”
Our 2nd runner-up is Elmarie Mouton from National Photographic Club with “Release me from this Hell”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault can be downloaded here
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
