Evelyn Gibson from Cape Town Photographic Society is our March winner!
Evelyn, congratulations on your winning image – Everything will be OK
Evelyn says:-
This image contains 7 different layers in composing it. The main subject was taken at one of the Joburg Ballet performances, taken with the Nikon D500 with the 70-200 mm lens, 1/640 sec, F4.5, ISO 1600. It created for me a very strong emotional feeling.
To add more value to this feeling and give it some mystic, I added the sky taken out of one of my recent images taken in Scotland with the Fuji XT-4 and the 16-80 mm lens.
The reflection is the image added again in an upside down perspective. Lots of dodging and burning and some vignetting added the feel for me that I wanted and felt about the image.
My title of “Everything will be OK” shouted at me loudly. Thank you to my mentor who walked the road with me in this image.
Our 1st Runner-up is Jacques Kruger from Ermelo Fotoklub with “Dazzling Eyes”
Our 2nd Runner-up is Eleanor Hattingh from Krugersdorp Camera Club with “Flight of the Giant”
Thank you to the judges:
Johan Brits – Vanderbijlpark Fotografiese Vereniging
Phillip de Lange – Tafelberg Fotografieklub

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where authors enter their own image onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our website for the duration of the month.
Entries for the website competition are entered by the authors themselves via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Click here to download instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault.
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA uses them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Website Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
