PSSA Youth Division Monthly Website Competition 2025

The PSSA Youth Website Competition is open to all individual youth members.

Scholars/Students up to 21 years old may participate.

A set subject is announced monthly on the PSSA website.

The Categories include:
• Open Colour
• Open Monochrome
• Nature
• Photojournalism
• Set Subject

Each participant can submit up to 5 images per month across the categories.

All individual youth members can enter up to 5 images per month, distributed across categories as desired.

Images will be judged, and monthly winners will be announced.

The competition uses the PhotoVaultOnline.com online entry system.

Steps to Register and Enter:
1. Visit PhotoVaultOnline.com.
2. Log in or register if you’re not already a user.
Once accepted:
3. Go to “My Entries” → “PSSA Specific”.
4. Select the event with the relevant closing date and click “Enter Here”.
5. Upload your images for the competition.

The competition can only be entered via PhotoVaultOnline.com.

If you don’t have an account in Photovault you can register and upload the images there.

• Ensure images are relevant and comply with competition guidelines.

• The following are prohibited:
o Non-relevant images.
o Similar images (e.g., same subject, background, or location combinations).
o Submitting the same image multiple times, even with edits (e.g., cropped, angle or tone changes).
o AI-generated images.
o Previously entered images.

Non-compliant entries may be disqualified.

January – Magic moments
Come show us your magic moment you experienced it.
Magic moments are depicted as
“A brief experience perceived as special in some way.”
Seeing the little girl run up and hug her father when he returned from work. The moment the wave crashed behind the Surfer. The sun setting on the horizon.

February – Bike Time
The scene image must include a part of a bike or the whole one.

The objective is to create a scene where a bike is part of it. It could be a Bicycle, Motorbike or scooter.

March – Chasing sunsets
Bring us the beauty of the sunsets throughout our country.

April – Creepy Crawlies up close
How do the creepy crawlies around your garden, pool and home look like?  Meet them up close and personal and introduce them to us. No insects may be harmed in the making of this artwork. Closing: 23h59 on 20 April 2025

May – Autumn Colours
Show us your best of Autumn. This is from one leaf to full landscapes. We want to see the colours of the season.

June – Monochrome Earth
The object is to portrait the earth in Black and White. We want to see the world around you. No City Scapes allowed. See LINK

July – Red Realm
We are looking at images where Red is the focal point of the image and demands the attention.

Portraits of any type of animal may be entered.

September – New life
Spring is the best way to see new life. Show us the new life in the garden, nature, and around you. This theme includes everything living on our planet.

October – Solo structures
We always see scenes when we walk around. The objective here is to show us the one structure that is standing alone, that structure that helps to make a beautiful, composed scene. It can be a building, a shed, a silo, a windpump, etc. The structure must be part of the scene.

November – Movement (is art)
Show us an image depicting movement. A slow shutter speed helps to show movement in an image. In Camera Movement (ICM) may also be used. The image may not be static, it must show movement.
