Craig Morgan from Randburg Photo Club is our October winner!
Craig, congratulations on your winning image – Voyage of the Red Sails

Craig says:
I was incredibly lucky to spend a week in Greenland late this summer (Northern Hemisphere), photographing the beautiful red-sailed boats in Disko Bay. The bay is filled with stunning icebergs, and because it’s so far north, the golden hour stretched from around 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. This particular photo was taken just after sunset, probably close to 11 p.m.
It shows a sailboat with crimson sails gliding quietly past an iceberg, bathed in the soft, warm light of the Arctic twilight. The air was perfectly still, and the reflections on the water shimmered in shades of gold, rose, and indigo, truly a magical moment to witness.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where authors enter their own image onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our website for the duration of the month.
Entries for the website competition are entered by the authors themselves via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Click here to download instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault.
All images must be original and must not incorporate elements produced by anyone else. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrants certify the work as their own. The PSSA Director of Competitions has the right to ask for the RAW files.
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA uses them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Website Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
