Ana Kaplan from Cape Town Photographic Society is our March winner!
Ana, congratulations on your winning image – Lions Head

Ana says:
For fog images rolling into Cape Town (we tried at several locations before), we met up with a few other people at 4am and we hiked up Kloof, Table Mountain. And there it was, fog rolling in and covering the city of Cape Town, with the lights illuminating through the fog. I had never seen anything quite like this before, it was very ethereal and so beautiful!
I took my first image at 5.15am and continued to shoot until the sunrise, where we started to see these beautiful high levels form above Lions Head, a truly unbelievable and unusual treat! What an incredible experience it was that morning! I must admit It has definitely inspired me to push myself as a photographer to get that extraordinary shot and I am very excited to include this particular image in my portfolio.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Senior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Web site for the duration of the month.
For the Senior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the Senior club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Click here to download instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault
All images must be original and must not incorporate elements produced by anyone else. By virtue of submitting an entry, the clubs must certify all the work in the entered image as their club member’s own. The PSSA Director of Competitions has the right to ask for the RAW files.
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
