The Photographic Society of America (PSA) each year presents a Youth Showcase where school children from countries all over the world compete against each other in a salon. There are cash prizes available as well as the publication of winning images in the PSA journal. South Africa was previously represented by schools from Pretoria and Johannesburg.
CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who participated and a big word of thank you to Francois Venter (Director: Northern Gauteng) for finalising our entry.
Below are the Youth Showcase acceptances and winners!
• Elizna Schuttte from Pretoria was declared the overall winner for both the PDI Mono section and Print Mono section (Both of these have a prize of $175), she also had two other acceptances.
• Centurion High School had one second place in a People/Animals Section, plus one PJ acceptance.
• HJ Coetzer from Zwartkops had three of his four images accepted.
• Oosmoot High School in Pretoria had 12 of their 13 images accepted.
