This is an International Circuit Salon where the Youth can enter as a combined group as the PSSA Youth Photographers of South Africa.
Entries are limited to four projected images per category, in total 16 images each per entrant.
The six categories for each section are:
1. OPEN COLOUR
2. OPEN MONOCHROME
3. NATURE
4. PLAY AND FUN – COLOUR (including sport)

The competition closes on 23 March 2025.
I will assist all schools with their entries and therefore I will need all Digital images and entries by 16 March 2025. Contact me directly for help on the entering of the images in the competition.
All the images and the forms must be sent to Phillip De Lange at upcomingpssa@gmail.com via WeTransfer.
All entrants must take note of the following:
1. Any photograph accepted in any previous GIP Salons cannot be entered.
2. The person representing the club (namely the one that will be in charge of submitting the files that will participate in the competition) is responsible for collecting the submitted files, which must contain the original EXIF data. This person must also collect, at the same time, from the authors all the RAW files of the submitted images or the original unmodified jpg files. In the latter case he/she should also request the images taken immediately before and after the submitted image. This person must retain all these images (RAW + JPG series), without any exception, in case they are requested for possible inspection, without expiration, prescription or limitation of FIAP actions. In case one (or more) files are requested, the person representing the club must send them immediately within 10 days of their request. If the file is not sent and received within the deadline, the submitted image will be disqualified (namely 0 points will be assigned to that file).
3. No AI Generated Images are allowed. An AI picture generator is a computer program that can create pictures at a user’s request, as closely as possible. The process looks as follows: the user opens the program and enters a text prompt, and the program processes the given text and tries to create an AI image that matches the prompt.

Salon Fees – Entries for entrants under the age of 21 are free of charge. The appointed date of birthday to GIP 2024 will be 23rd March 2004. All youth entrants have to copy an ID with birthday to provide proof of their age. Youth entrants who have sent their IDs in former years do not have to resend them.
Please note: Youth entrants without confirmation of age, will be rejected.
All Successful entrants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
