Carol Phillips from Knysna Photographic Society is our August winner!
Carol, congratulations on your winning image – Eye on the ball

Carol says:
Photographed with my camera on a tripod, this image was made by rolling a sheet of corrugated cardboard over a lens ball. Backlighting was used to highlight the texture and pattern of the corrugations. I created the shot in a darkened room to eliminate unwanted reflections.
Camera model: Canon EOS 7D Mark II
Lens model: Canon EF 10-22mm
ISO: 200
Aperture: f14
Shutter Speed: 6 sec
Our 1st Runner-up is Theo van der Merwe from Boksburg Camera Club, with “Winged Giant of the Reeds”

Our 2nd Runner-up is Michelle Rademeyer (Independent) with “Wait and the moment will present itself”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where authors enter their own image onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our website for the duration of the month.
Entries for the website competition are entered by the authors themselves via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Click here to download instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault.
All images must be original and must not incorporate elements produced by anyone else. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrants certify the work as their own. The PSSA Director of Competitions has the right to ask for the RAW files.
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA uses them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Website Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
