AV-AFIAP FPSSA EPSSA APSSA
I got hooked on slide Audio-Visuals after one of Freeman Patterson’s mind-boggling lectures at the Silverton PSSA Congress back in 1980. Suddenly the world of photography seemed different, vibrant and new. It was a new way of communicating, a new way of exploring the art and joy of photography and ways of seeing.
These “slideshows” were more exciting, satisfying and creative than some digital audio visuals today.
But when the digital era dawned, I often looked back at the analogue years as some of the best times we had … It took me a long time to embrace the digital era.
Workshops at Congresses and clubs followed. We learned from each other.
I achieved my first APSSA in slide Audio Visuals.
I entered and judged several National and International AV Salons and lectured and presented workshops at several Congresses.
I was very honoured when I was invited to present some of my AVs in various shows in Europe. The experience opened up a world of amazing, creative, innovative and beautiful AVs. It certainly inspired me to do more.
