I want to be part of the AV group....and need to know dates...themes,competitions for 2025....events of the AVcommunity.I had one acceptance previous year...and want to be more active this year.Could you guid me where to find these dates.I am part of Vereeniging Photographic club...still junior 3 star.Thank youregards love to hear from you.Riana KnouwdsMorning Riana. I may not know you but I do remember your AV, well done on your acceptance. We do not currently have an AV group/division in PSSA because we don%u2019t have anyone willing or able to run it. We know that there are quite a few AV workers out there and actually I don%u2019t know why there aren%u2019t more. AV is a wonderful art form and a Introducing Boksburg Camera Club%u2019s youngest photographer %u2013 Alexis Koekemoer.This avid young photographer joined the club as a 1 Star member in January 2024. She achieved 4 (out of 5) acceptances in her first Salon attempt and has consistently won open and set subject categories in Club monthly competitions as well as categories in our recent trophy evening. This young lady knows her own mind when it comes to her photography and does all but the most complex editing of her own photos and is very sure of which of her photos are to be entered into monthly competitions.Alexis is determined to enter her photos as she thinks best and frequently proves that she is right by the results she achieves.Boksburg Camera Club is extremely proud of our youngest member, and we believe that she has a very bright future photographically speaking.Monica, her mum, tells us that she has been at photo club meetings since she was a baby and started showing an interest in photography when she was two. At three a friend gave her a point and shoot camera and she started playing around taking photos and taking part in photo rallies at the club%u2019s weekends away. In 2023 they gave her an entry level camera so that she could learn about changing lenses as well as other skills. I%u2019m truly a proud mother of my little girl achieving this at such a young age.place to share more than just a few of your images - we all shoot plenty but end up only choosing a few - why not use the rest to create an AV?If there is anyone out there who would like to get an AV group going, or would like to be a part of an AV group, please let me know.Page No. 11
