PSSA YOUTH DIVISION NATIONAL COMPETITIONSThe PSSA Youth division hosts several national events each year aimed specifically at Junior photographers.The Up-and-Coming competitions are open to any club photographer who is 1,2 or 3 star and who does not have any PSSA Honours. There are no age restrictions. The main purpose of this competition is to create an opportunity for club members and scholars, who do not yet feel ready for National Salons, to compete in a national competition against their peers. The competition includes a separate section for scholars up to the age of 19 whether they are from a recognised scholastic institution or are home-schooled. No-one may enter both sections.The Youth Salon is open to all photographers under the age of 21 and the Monthly website competition is for students and scholars under the age of 19.Keep a look out on our website for the closing dates and be sure to read all the rules carefully. Results can also be seen on our website. Entry in all our competitions is via Photovaultonline.The Monthly Website Competition closes on the 20th of each month. A set subject is announced for each month and individual youth members can enter 1 set subject image, taken either with a digital camera or a cellphone. In addition to this they may enter 4 more images, 1 each in the following categories %u2013 Open Colour, Open Mono, Nature, Photojournalism.A winner is chosen in each category each month and at the end of the year an overall winner is chosen as well as a winner in each category.Overall & Open Colour Winner - Apaloosa - Lizhan Ruschenbaum - Bellville High Schoole-Image January 2025
