Laetitia Kenny from Boksburg Camera Club wins with “Dancing in the Rain”
My concept was the song title “Singing in the rain” but because my model is a ballerina the title “Dancing in the rain” seemed more appropriate.
The model was photographed in my studio ISO100, 1/125, f8 on a charcoal background.
I pasted my model onto a landscape that I compiled from 4 different images.
I created the rain from scratch in Photoshop by adding motion blur to noise.
The rain was my top layer and I erased where necessary to make it more believable.
I used the plastic wrap filter to try to create the splashes in the water.
