Senior Club Competition Winners Sep 2020

Vereeniging Photographic Society Dries Fourie Martial Eagle biggest eagle in Africa

Congratulations to Dries Fourie from Vereeniging Photographic Society

Dries is our September winner with “Martial eagle – biggest eagle in Africa”

Dries says:

The Marshall Eagle is the biggest and certainly, the most majestic of all birds in Africa. Once again it is impossible to expose such an apex predator in a single picture. The Portraiture shows off the sharpness and beauty in those big bright yellow eyes, combined with a heavy powerful beak. The Feeding eagle with its prey is a living symbol of power, freedom and transcendence.

These images were taken in the Kruger Park combined with a late sunset also from the same region.

Our 1st runner-up is Rudi Pothas from Pretoria Photographic Society with “Sunfire”
