Wayne dos Santos from Westville Camera Club is our February winner!
Wayne, congratulations on your winning image – African Unicorn
Wayne says:-
I was very fortunate to have been present during a Rhino tagging late last year.
The picture as taken did not really convey a story so I decided to create a composite with a sky picture I took in Yorkshire last year, the ominous gloomy sky added the drama to the story (I also removed some pesky humans that were polluting the scene).
I used a Fujilfilm GFX100s with a Canon 11-24 mm f4 lens adapted and that wide angle perspective extenuated that magnificent horn. It was an overwhelming emotional experience to have been there and it was an honour to meet the incredibly brave Anti Poaching Unit personnel.
Our 1st runner-up is Lizette de Coning from Bloemfontein Kameraklub with “Kirkufjell”
Our 2nd runner-up is – Robbie Aspeling from Sandton Photographic Club with “My little doggie”
Thank you to the judges:
Trudi du Toit – Cape Town Photographic Society
Alta Oosthuizen – National Photographic Club
Elsa van Dyk – Brandpunt Fotoklub

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Senior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Web site for the duration of the month.
For the Senior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the Senior club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
