Senior Club Competition Winners Aug 2020

Alberton Camera Club Ben Botha Catch

Congratulations to Ben Botha from Alberton Camera Club

Ben is our August winner with “Catch”

Ben says:

The photo was taken on the Chobe river in Botswana on a boat safari 5 days before the lock down. Canon 5D mark 4, Canon 600 F4 lens. Manual settings, F 5.6, SS 1/1000 servo focus. One of my dreams was to photograph these birds on a tree branch early morning, warming themselves up or with a catch. This one was on a papyrus stalk and the bird caught 2 insects whilst we were taking photos. This was the best on the series and I am very happy with the result.

Our 1st runner-up is Iorne Sulcas from Fish Hoek Photographic Society with “Safe with mom”
