Those members who may be interested in the South African history of photography since the beginnings up to 1870, there are still a few brand new copies available of the rare book “Secure The Shadow” authored by Dr Joseph Denfield (one of the founding members of PSSA in 1954) and co-authored by Marjorie Bull.
This book was published in 1970 and is one of only two publications on the history of photography since its beginnings in South Africa. The other publication is “Silver Images” authored by Dr K Bensusan.
