PSSA Salon Image of the Year

{emailcloak=off}

How does this competition work?

This competition is put together by PSSA. It consists of all the winning images (1st Place) from each category of all the National Salons run during the Impala Trophy period being 1 July to 30 June of each year. International Salons, even when run by PSSA or a club in South Africa, are excluded. The competition therefore closes on 30 June each year.

The Competition convenor thereafter requests the images from the individual winning photographers, who provide the images exactly as they were entered into the particular salon. The competition follows the three media of the Impala Trophy being Nature, Open and Monochrome. A winning image is selected in each of these three media.

Awards

A PSSA Gold Medal each is awarded for the Best Nature Image of the Year, the Best Open Image of the Year and the Best Monochrome Image of the Year.

Judging

Judging is carried out by three judges selected from the PSSA management team. If any one of the management team has their image entered they may not judge the competition.

Results

The results are announced each year at the PSSA National Congress during the PSSA Showcase held at the congress.
