This month I am writing on behalf of Evelyn who is currently on a visit to Ireland and the UK. My other envious thoughts are with the members attending the Cape Photographers Congress in Hogsback, I do hope you have a wonderful time.
We do not have a lot of news this month but would like to alert you to upcoming events:
• Interclub, club newsletter/magazine and club website competitions: – close on 24 June 2017. Click on these links to get to the brochures:

• Nominations and election of PSSA Regional Directors: – this process will kick off in July.
• Bookings for The Streets of Jozi – 2017 PSSA National Congress is now open. The programme is also available on the website here.
• Bosberaad for PSSA: – a strategic planning event has been planned for the end of May. We will be sending out a questionnaire soon to get members’ input for consideration during the event. It is important to hear your views and ideas to ensure PSSA stays relevant as a photographic society.
• Definitions: – a sub-committee is currently looking at category definitions for salons and PSSA competitions. The aim is to simplify and align them with international definitions. The new versions will be published on the website as soon as the process is completed.
• Other competitions: – please check the PSSA home page for these interesting competitions hosted by clubs and/or outside organizations, some with very attractive prizes with some very challenging opportunities.
