She is our September winner with her image “Milky Way”
We were 13 members (friends), from the Midlens Camera Club, which went on a photographic experience to Botswana in July 2018. We visited the N’xai pan for 5 nights and then Kubu Island for another 3 nights.
This photo was taken at Kubu Island. The member who organized this tour, planned the date so that there was almost no moonlight visible. There were a few clouds visible, which cleared later during the night. It was my first attempt at photographing stars and the milky way. Senior members gave us a short lesson on what to do.

It was taken in HDR, but I preferred the normal exposure and only used this image.
It was a privilege to experience this wonderful holiday and to capture the beauty of God’s creation on a photo. We have a lot of memories to share of friendship, experience, peaceful days and most of all the proof through photo’s.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
