Marita Coetzee from Harties Fotografie Studiegroep is our November winner!
Marita, congratulations on your winning image – Agony
Marita says:
An artist approached me with an idea of what she wanted to portray on a canvas. She requested me to take a “reference” picture for her to work off.
Her request: a male displaying how he is a captive of his emotions and inability to talk about it, especially in this day and age.
The idea was low light only from one side to highlight the shape of his body, the masculinity of body shapes and details displaying the agony.
Our 1st runner-up is Michele Kinross from Creative Camera Club with “My Best Friend”
Our 2nd runner-up is Alida Hein from Tygerberg Photographic Society with “Captured by your own fears”
Thank you to the judges:
Francois Venter – National Photographic Club
Alta Oosthuizen – Pretoria Photographic Society
Jill Sneesby – Port Elizabeth Camera Club

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault can be downloaded here
Frequently we do require high resolutions of these images as PSSA use them for Print Exhibitions to promote PSSA as well as showcasing the work being done around the country.
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
