He is our November winner with the image “Uneasy”
We were fortunate to have a great afternoon session at a waterhole that was regularly frequented by a number of animals at that time. A troop of baboons came along to the waterhole but for some reason they were quite skittish and were never at ease.
The one on the left was exceptionally skittish and kept on looking around while his mate was having a drink.
What makes this photo special for me is that you have eye contact with the baboon on the right depicting his awareness and the one on the left creating more tension by depicting the constant uneasiness that game have to live with as a constant in the wild.
The bee on the top right-hand corner brings a bit of humour to the photo.
Taken with a Canon 5D IV with 500mm lens mk1, f 8, ISO4000 and shutter speed 1/1600.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
