He is our November winner with the image “Fish Eagle 4”
During mid-September, I was fortunate enough to join a group of photographers on a trip on the Okavango river in Northern Botswana.
The Barblerun was on at that stage and Herons and Fish Eagles were in abundance and all over the river.
A Fish Eagle in flight was high on my wishlist as I’ve been trying for many years.
A small unstable boat and no support with heavy gear called for some special effort and concentration.
The first few days I ended up with a lot of “cut-off” pics!
However, practice makes perfect and on the third day, I managed to get a series of pics of a beautiful specimen with its catch in the middle of the frame.

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
