“Almost every morning, after dropping the children at school, I weapon myself with my camera and do a walk in the garden. Since I started Macro Photography, I am always looking for insects where ever I go. I noticed a few woolly aphids, and searched again for something. I noticed there was a Robber fly hiding on a lily leave. I quickly kneeled and as I took the photo, I saw that it was munching on a Green Bottle fly. I only had time to take one photo before it flew away.
I used a Canon 7D II with a Canon 100mm Macro lens. I used a flash with diffuser as well as an extension tube. My settings were 1/250 sec f11 ISO 125 focal length 100 mm.”

HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly Junior winner onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning image. The monthly winner gets displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Junior Club Competition Winner of the Month, a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winner via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.

At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Junior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
