November already and everyone starting to get ready for those very welcome breaks ahead of us very soon.
November will be the last Club Winners and Web site Competition for 2016. If your club meets in December, you can put double entries in, in the January Competition.
Once again some excellent images entered into these competitions from all around South Africa. CONGRATS TO THE THREE WINNERS AND CLUBS THIS MONTH. REMEMBER always to enter your club and not leave it as Independent. We are still awaiting the names and email addresses for many of the Clubs around SA, (as per your Regional Directors’ emails to the clubs) for the dedicated person who enters your winners every month as we need to streamline this in Photovault. PLEASE also check the STATS on the web site here as this gives you each month an indication how your club faired in the competition.
To view all the images entered each month and to see the authors and the Clubs hover over the images and details come up at the bottom of your screen. Melanie, our web master has explained it all on our web site how it works. For Mac users, our web site views best in Firefox.
Please check out our web site on a regular basis as all PSSA’s information and notifications are put on the web site sometimes on a daily basis.
We welcome LEON JACOBS, our new Chairperson for the Marketing Division of PSSA. Leon will fill this Portfolio with immediate effect, please assist and help Leon in this new position, as Marketing is a very important Portfolio for PSSA.
The planning has already began for the 2017 Annual Congress in Gauteng, please keep watching our web site for on-going information and details. If anyone in the Pretoria/Johannesburg area is willing to help and provide accommodation for our delegates, please contact me in this regard. THANK YOU.
Also the 2018 FIAP Congress in Durban is also well ahead on the planning of this big event, continual information and details will also be given to you on a regular basis via this Newsletter and our web site.
The last edition of Image for this year is already at the printers. As soon as we know that they are being posted we will let you know thru our FB page and our web site so that you can look out for it in your post box.
We hope as many of you as possible managed to visit the 3 Cities + 1 Photographic Exhibition in Johannesburg, the work displayed was very professional and congratulations to Johann v.d. Walt for organising this – a full report and images also on our web site here or find it under the RESULTS tab.
Two Regional Congresses took place recently CERPS and NEP, very good reports from both these Congresses with some very inspiring speakers. CONGRATS to the Clubs who organised them.

Continue to show us your work through our Salons, Competitions and our FB page. It is through this that we all inspire one another, we learn from one another and we continue to enjoy one another’s work. Remember very little under the sun is ever truly original – a successful image will always be a successful image even though it has been taken 1000 times.
