Into March already and we hope that you are all still enjoying your photography and being inspired and continuing to inspire us all. We all enjoy seeing and sharing in this hobby of ours – please continue to do so.
Photography sets apart from every other activity, it saves one single moment from a stream of real-life action and fixes it forever, or at least until you decide to throw it away.
We all use cameras now (even though many of them accept incoming calls as well), so photography these days is less about quietly appreciating other people’s images and more about shooting our own.

OUR MONTHLY CLUB WINNING IMAGES AND WEB SITE COMPETITIONS – As always great to see the work being done around the country. CONGRATS as always to our monthly winners. It would be great to see more of our clubs entering these competitions every month. Also just remember the web site competition is for PSSA members only. Check out all the entries on our web site and appreciate and enjoy them.
INTERIM BOARD MEETING – We held an interim board meeting recently and as always challenges, strategies, membership and the way forward for PSSA in all ways possible were discussed. We enjoy getting members’ feedback as you are our Society. Please continue to do so.

Looking at, to end our Newsletter this month, there are so much photography unique abilities out there. The ability to freeze a moment in time has long been heralded for its aesthetic and philosophical implications. But there are also captured moments that are even more powerful than a frozen frame of tense action, which also speak to photography’s artistic strengths. A very interesting extract from a Book “Capturing the Moment” by Michael Freeman.
