What a wonderful congress!!! I must congratulate Roel, Paul and the team for a memorable congress in Swellendam among the Canola fields. The venue was great, the speakers outstanding and the photographic opportunities plentiful and wonderful. For those that could not make it – I must say you missed something really special.
Johan Kloppers will be opening registration shortly for the 2016 Congress at Langebaan. In the mean time, read more about it here on the website!
I would like to thank the Board for the trust they have put in me by electing me as President. It is a great honour and a privilege.
Congratulations to Anne d’Oliveira our 1st Vice President and Francois Roux our 2nd Vice President.
Some portfolios that have changed: Roel is taking over as the Salon Administrator from me, he will also be looking after the Annual Programme.
Francois Venter will be running the Youth Division and looking after Northern Gauteng as Regional Director. Johan Stephens joined the board earlier in the year to look after Marketing. I want to remind members again that in terms of the rules of the Impala Trophy; an image is only eligible for a total of 5 acceptances (for Diamond Ratings it is still a total of 3). If the image is converted to monochrome it forms part of the count to 5; eg 3 colour and 2 mono acceptances and then the image should be retired. We are not policing this but we are relying on the integrity of our members taking part in this wonderful hobby.
