Nature Photography has always been part of Fanus’s life. Since he can remember – about 45 years ago – he has been clicking away at all things natural.
He started taking his hobby seriously about 10 Years ago and never looked back. He says that one day when he is grown up, he wants to be a Professional Nature Photographer! When he is not shooting the beauty of nature he manages an egg farm near Pretoria in South Africa with his wife Gerda.
Fanus travels the world to “places where cellphones don’t work”. His work has been recognized by organizations like the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Fujifilm-Getaway Wildlife Awards.
He has acted as a judge for the Fujifilm Getaway Awards and Nikon’s Africa Photographic Awards.
His work has been published in various magazines like Weg, Go!, Getaway and high profile glossies like Africa Birds & Birding”.
