NEP held their annual congress on the 25-27 September 2015 at the Magoebaskloof Hotel in the beautiful Magoebaskloof Valley. We were blessed with fantastic weather and a wonderful venue, with stunning views over the valley. We had superb speakers who had us all enthralled with their Photographic ideas and passions, making us all look into our Photographic skills again. Evelyn Gibson, Hougaard Malan, Keith Connelly, Marcus Jooste and Morkel Erasmus, really brought it home to us all about looking at and thinking out the box ideas in photography.
We were lucky to have some great sponsorship and prizes for our lucky draw, – e.g. Sigma 24-70mm lens and an Apple I-pad and many many more. Thank you to all our sponsors and congratulations to the lucky winners.
The organized photoshoots were well attended by all the delegates who got some beautiful shots in the green forests amongst the thick and tangled lianas, with the fungi and ferns and the crystal clear Debengeni falls. Macro Photographers also had a fun time shooting insects and flowers with Marcus Jooste.
The images entered into this year’s Inter Club were of exceptional quality, making it very hard for our judges. The winners were :
First place: Ermelo
Second place: Midlens
Third place : Nelspruit
Well done to all the clubs that entered this year – the Region’s work was certainly of a very high standard right through. Special thanks must go to Jason Stander and his team for a fantastic congress, filled with fun, great food and great camaraderie.
