Portfolios in search of a chairperson (not as Regional Director)
If you would like to be involved but don’t have the time to commit as a Director there are always portfolios calling out for someone to chair. Something to be aware of is that you don’t have to do the job alone. You can form a committee and so share the work. With over 1500 members I am sure that someone out there would love to put a little back into photography.
PSSA Branded Clothing – we have jackets, fleecies, shooting jackets and would like more. These clothes are generally just sold at congress so if you are going to be in Swellendam and would like to look after this portfolio I would love to hear from you.
In addition to selling the clothing it will also require ordering etc. If you aren’t going to be in Swellendam but would be interested in the portfolio please also let me know.
Exhibitions – as a photographic society we really ought to exhibit our work more widely and the Board has agreed that there will be PSSA sponsored exhibitions in all regions each year. That’s all very well but we do need someone to co-ordinate these exhibitions so if that is your field of interest here is the job for you.
Recorded Lectures Library – I am sure that there is a better, more up to date name for this as we do have some very good new material including all the MPSSA applications. All it requires is a revamp with a new name and a new interest so that our members can gain access.
