Our March winner is Charmaine Joubert from PECC who wins with her image "Birds Flying"
My image is two images blended together. Both images are of Cape Sparrows (Mossies) taken at a waterhole in the Kgalagadi. One image is a panning photo of the birds in flight, taken with a slow shutter speed 1/30sec which I blurred even more in Photoshop and the other is taken with a fast shutter speed 1/3200sec. I then blended the two together. In Photoshop I used layers to add saturation, contrast and selective colour only to the birds because I wanted the blurred background to remain soft and neutral.
Our 1st runner-up is Bruce Hepburn from West Rand Photographic Club with "Veiled in Blue"
Our 2nd runner-up is Steve Trimby from Helderberg Photographic Society with "Cat Lap"
Thank you to the judges. They were:

MARCH 2017 FINALISTS
HOW DOES THIS COMPETITION WORK?
This is a PSSA monthly competition where clubs enter their monthly winners (Junior and Senior) onto Photovault. Appointed judges select the winning Junior and Senior image. These monthly winners get displayed on the home page of our Website for the duration of the month.
For the Club Winning Picture of the Month a club representative (ideally the Chairperson) submits the club winners for Junior and Senior sections via Photovault at www.photovaultonline.com.
Instructions on how to upload your entry onto Photovault, can be dowloaded here
At the end of the PSSA calendar year (30 June of each year) the Senior Club Competition Winning Image of the Year is selected.
